I’m a self-taught, traditional artist based in Southwest Oklahoma who specializes in graphite drawings and acrylic paintings.
A Few of my Thoughts…
Anything can be a Canvas.
Some of my favorite paintings don’t include any kind of canvas or paper. From guitars to whiskey bottles, the options are unlimited when it comes to surfaces to paint on.
Art does NOT have to be an expensive hobby.
High-end art supplies do not always produce higher quality art. In fact, many of the supplies I use repeatedly come straight from the dollar store.
It’s All About Balance.
There are three major purposes that art serves in my life - a hobby, a therapy, and a responsibility. A priority of mine is to balance the three. I don’t want to be so consumed in the financial gain of my work that I lose the enjoyable and therapeutic values of creating art.
